Picaro -- Spanish Tapas
We went to Picaro, a Spanish tapas restaurant, for James' birthday.
We're way in the back.
Sangria.
Ordered food and waiting for the kitchen to get the food ready, we had sangria first, of course.
Sangria - red wine with apple cubes and some other citrus fruit.
Food is served. Very garlic-ie...
Tapas!
We ordered: fried calamari, garlic chicken, Spanish blood sausage, spicy potatoes, and mushrooms sauteed with garlic (next photo).
The orange color dipping sauce is garlic sauce. Quite strong and most definitely the thing that made our breath stink afterwards. But it was so goooood~
And the special prize will have to go to the homemade mayonaise, it's not your normal mayonaise out of a jar, nothing like I have tasted before.
Mushrooms sauteed with garlic.
The best dish of the bunch.
